Keesha Sharp
The film of Tyler Perry Why Did I Get Married also features her. Alongside Perry and Janet Jackson, as well as the indie movies Frozen Peas and Born Guilty. Her other film credits includes The 636, for which she won Best Actress at the 2014. NYLA International Film Festival, Shattered!, Never Die Alone as well as American Adobo. Cum Laude awarded Keesha a B.F.A. at the Conservatory, Keesha set her sights on the stage. She played in her first Broadway National Tour of Carousel and also debuted Off Broadway with Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind. Additionally, she played eight roles in the interactive comedy Eat the Runt. Other theatrical performances included Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Keesha read along with playwright August Wilson himself. In addition to her work on the screen and stage, Keesha directed episodes of "Lethal Weapon", "Are We There Yet" and also the short film One Day, Lillian and Half Off. Keesha was the co-creator of Clean, The Brit & Broken Doll. Additionally, she is working on several new projects in development. After the great success of her album "Santa Baby" Keesha is working on a full length album to showcase her beautiful voice.
